There are 8 types of error in excel. This error generates from separate operations. In this article we will know:

- Types of Error
- Reason of the Error

**#NULL!**

This error occurs when an intersection remains between 2 range/cells. Like you are doing the sum for range B2:B5, but you insert a space instead of (:) then this error can occur.**#DIV/0!**

This error occurs when you divide a cell by a zero. Let’s see the example below:

**#VALUE!**

This error occurs when you use a defective argument in your formula. Let’s see the example below:

**#REF!**

This error occurs when the cell is missing which you used in your formula. Sometimes we need to delete cells but if those cells are on the formula than this error will comes. Look an example below:

**#NAME?**

This error occurs when you will not use a range name/cell name properly. Like you need to sum cell B3 to B12, so you have to write formula ** =SUM(B3:B12) **but you mistakenly you wrote your formula

**than this error will occur. Example below:**

*=SUM(B3B12)***#NUM!**

This Error can occur for an invalid argument which you used in excel function. An example is below:

**#N/A**

This error can happen if you use a value in a formula which is not available. In Match and Lookup, we use a cell/value to lookup. If the cell/value is not available in the data table/range then this error can occur.

**#GETTING_DATA**

Excel can show this error if it is calculating large and complex data. This error message is temporary. It only shows if calculation is taking time.
